We have adopted an approach that focuses on depth rather than breadth, building conceptual foundations. Pupils are expected to solve problems, explain their thinking, and prove their answers. Foundational to our Mathematics instruction is the understanding of the four rules (Addition, Subtraction, Multiplication and Division). We have gone beyond memorization and rote learning to enable transference and the ability to apply learning in new situations. As a matter of fact, pupils at PRIPPEMA have overcome every iota of phobia for Mathematics and in its place willingly adopted Mathematics as their favourite subject.
